At Peerplays, we are constantly striving to improve our technology and create innovative solutions to drive blockchain adoption. In this blog post, we would like to share some exciting updates on our projects, including the Peerplays legacy codebase, Peerplays 2.0 R&D, NEX, and Together.app.
Peerplays Legacy Codebase
We are proud to announce that our latest alpha release, 1.5.22-alpha, is published and undergoing verification against all libraries. Both the Python and JS libraries are functioning smoothly and are expected to work seamlessly with the upcoming mainnet release. Our Python-based end-to-end test suite for blockchain features is being integrated with our CI pipeline, and we plan to run it as part of the blockchain pipelines moving forward.
Additionally, we are integrating the nimbal-based test suite developed for the DEX into the blockchain pipeline. We will run these automated test cases periodically to identify any new bugs that may arise. We are also working on the automation of the cli_wallet commands and have verified the SONs functionality against the Sepoia testnet. This means that the Ethereum SONs functionality should work perfectly with the mainnet. Our team is currently verifying the same functionality with the mainnet of various chains.
Peerplays 2.0 R&D
We continue to focus on streamlining the creation of accounts and providing a more user-friendly environment. Our codebase is available in a repository, and anyone can run this code from Docker. So far, our research and development have been progressing smoothly.
NEX
Our team is working on minor improvements and bug fixes for the NEX project. We have a work-in-progress version with new features like Ethereum SONs and Voting, which we have deployed against the alpha release of the blockchain. This allows us to test the recent changes to SONs, the revamped voting system, and the newly added Ethereum SONs feature. As a result, we are verifying the cost functionality changes in the NEX UI and the new voting pages.
Together.app
This quarter, we’ve been conducting Design Sprint sessions for Together, an innovative new Peerplays dApp. As the first application on Peerplays 2.0, it aims to bring a large number of users to the blockchain and supports meaningful community engagement for change and individual empowerment. We have utilized lightning demos, market analysis and applied user story mapping to guide our decision making process. Currently, we have initial designs in the final stages of competition and will share more details as this important initiative advances.
Conclusion
In summary, we are excited about the progress we have made on our various projects. From the Peerplays legacy codebase to Peerplays 2.0 R&D, NEX, and Together.app, our team is working tirelessly to improve our technology, streamline the user experience, and promote the widespread adoption of blockchain
